1. Invest NL
Invest NL is a Dutch venture capital company established in 2019. The firm focuses its investments on sustainable and innovative companies, particularly in the high-tech and life sciences sectors. Invest NL operates as a collaboration between the Dutch government and the private sector, with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy as its sole shareholder. Invest NL, in collaboration with the European Investment Fund, has launched the Dutch Future Fund II. The fund allocates a minimum of €200 million to Netherlands-based venture capital funds, with a focus on sectors such as energy transition, deep tech, circular economy, and agrifood.
2. Velocitis Capital
Velocitis Capital is a Netherlands-based venture capital firm that primarily invests in the FinTech sector. Since its establishment in 2005, Velocitis has expanded its global presence by investing in businesses across Asia, Europe, the United States, and Africa. Velocitis Capital has launched a €105 million venture fund dedicated to early-stage companies in the fintech space, including banking, payments, and credit. The fund, based in Amsterdam, aims to increase investment opportunities, particularly as the size of early-stage investments grows.
3. henQ
The Amsterdam-based venture capital firm focuses its investments mainly on Dutch and Nordic startups, particularly those operating in the field of B2B software during their seed stages. henQ recently launched its fourth fund, henQ 4, with a first close of €70 million, a significant increase from its previous fund. Most of the henQ 4 deals are expected to take place outside the Netherlands, specifically in the Benelux, Nordics, and Baltics regions.
