1. Bright Pixel Capital (Portugal)
Bright Pixel Capital, formerly named Sonae IM, is the tech investment side of Sonae Group. The company invested over €250M in the past 5 years in over 50 direct investments. They focus on different sectors like cybersecurity, retail technology, digital infrastructure, and emerging technology. In 2019 they invested in automaise, an automated customer service task that uses AI to reduce customer service costs and improve staff productivity.
2. Prequel Ventures (Germany)
Prequel Ventures is a VC fund that invests in companies in the pre-seed stage and focuses on supply chain startups. They are based in Germany but cover all of Europe. One of their portfolio companies, for example is Phinxt. Phinxt aims to help businesses get ahead of the competition in an automation-based economy. They support companies to get started with a small number of robots and can scale up to hundreds if needed.
3. InReach Ventures (UK)
InReach Ventures invests in early-stage startups in Europe. They use a proprietary software which is known as DIG that helps discover, evaluate, and support investments. The company has invested in Sealk, a business founded by a former M&A banker who wants to change the way M&A deals are sourced using artificial intelligence.
